Cabin End site achieves ‘excellent’ Considerate Constructors score

Ring Stones Maintenance and Construction has been awarded an excellent 44 out of 45 score by the Considerate Constructors Scheme following an independent monitoring visit to its Cabin End site on Windsor Road in Blackburn.

The score recognises the site team’s efforts to operate considerately and responsibly, including how they engage with neighbours, care for the environment, support their workforce and manage safety on site. A result of 44 places the project among the highest‑scoring construction sites nationally.

During the visit, the monitor highlighted the team’s strong commitment to:

  • Minimising disruption to local residents and road users
  • Maintaining high standards of site safety and organisation
  • Supporting workforce wellbeing
  • Managing environmental impacts responsibly
  • Engaging positively with the local community

Works on site have now moved through the groundworks and main structural stages, with the development clearly taking shape. Once complete, the scheme will deliver 20 new affordable homes, including four family houses and 16 apartments for affordable rent, helping to widen housing choice in the area.

The result reflects the professionalism and day‑to‑day efforts of everyone working on the project and underlines Ring Stones’ ongoing commitment to delivering high‑quality construction in a considerate and community‑focused way.

James Macaree, Managing Director at Ring Stones Maintenance and Construction, said: “It is really pleasing to see the continued hard work, effort and delivery considerations reflected in a positive outcome on the recent Considerate Constructors visit.

“The Ring Stones team on site delivering Windsor Road, along with our supply chain, continue to ensure that we deliver this project with minimal disruption to the local community, with a continued focus on quality, and in being considerate of our environmental impacts in the work we continue to deliver. It’s a really pleasing outcome.”
