Planning applications have been submitted for us to commence work on a £5m redevelopment of the site at Sycamore Avenue in Burnley, with the creation of 20 two and three bed homes and 21 apartments for modern living.
The area, on Sycamore Avenue in Gannow, has laid derelict for a number of years and been branded an eyesore by locals, whilst also attracting anti-social behaviour. The development will create a new desirable neighbourhood, offering quality homes which are ideal for first time buyers and growing families.
In redeveloping this site, which will benefit the wider local area, we are looking to create energy efficient homes for the future using ethical and environmental standards of working. Ring Stones pride ourselves on supporting local suppliers and creating employment opportunities for both existing experienced construction workers and apprentices. In addition, we will be providing training opportunities specifically for young people through the governments Kickstart scheme.
James Macaree, Managing Director of Ring Stones, said, ‘this project is an exciting and rewarding venture for everyone involved. Not only are we set to rejuvenate an area of Burnley which has long needed attention, we are also going to be doing it in a way that benefits the community by keeping everything as local as possible – from the workforce to supplies.’
Further details will be announced in the coming months.
